Both COMBEX Construction Logistics and MAY Transporte GmbH have extensive knowledge of and experience in transporting concrete and building materials, including prefab products. This takeover and the existing co-operation with Driessen Special Transport together create a large and closely-meshed network in the Benelux and Germany, enabling equipment to be utilised more efficiently.

Acquiring MAY gives COMBEX a substantial position in the German market. The combination of expertise and capacity creates a strong player that has the strength and flexibility to continue to respond to growing and changing market demands. It allows COMBEX to maintain its high level of service to customers in the Netherlands and Germany, both now and in the long term.

MAY Reparatur Services GmbH forms part of the acquisition alongside MAY Transporte GmbH. This means that the takeover includes the garage, in addition to the transport activities, staff, and entire fleet. MAY Transporte GmbH will continue to operate as an independent company. COMBEX will develop its German activities further from the MAY location in Rheinböllen.

"In adding MAY to the COMBEX family, we’re taking an important next step in developing the construction division and continuing to grow along with our clients and market demand," says Frank van Kerkhof, director of COMBEX Bouwlogistiek.

Mathias May, MAY Transporte GmbH: “The acquisition by COMBEX not only guarantees continuity for both staff and clients, but also the capacity and flexibility that our clients expect from us."

The acquisition was overseen by Transcare GmbH.
