AB Texel Group: market leader in potato transport
We are the market leader in Western Europe. We're very proud of this. Our extensive network and large capacity mean that we are always able to meet your transport needs. Each and every day, our drivers transport your bulk agricultural products with the utmost care and attention.
In addition to potatoes, we also transport:
- Sugar beets
- Cocoa and coffee beans
- Other bulk agricultural products
Something's changed? No problem
Harvest periods come later or earlier and weather conditions change; these things are beyond our control. But they don't affect our transport. Our experienced planners are at your service 24/7 ready to make last-minute changes. 'No' is not an answer – we always find a solution for you.
Extensive international network
You rely on us to load on time. With our extensive international network we are able to serve you like nobody else can, no matter where your business is based. Our large vehicle fleet is ready to go at any moment. Our service fits in with your logistics needs. Not the other way around.
Efficient, safe and sustainable
The quality of our trailers is an essential factor in making our transport more efficient, safe and sustainable. We mainly use lightweight belt bulker trailers to transport potatoes. We transport potatoes and seed potatoes in big bags or consumer packaging using tautliners and refrigerated trailers. We also have a large fleet of tipper trucks and walking floors. These trailers are used to transport vegetables, sugar beets and grains.
We develop solutions with our suppliers with the goals of minimal empty weight, maximum product protection and operational safety.
NAO-certified transporter and seed hygiene protocol
AB Texel Group is a Dutch Potato Organisation (NAO)-certified transporter. We follow a strict hygiene protocol:
- When transporting seed, we sanitise the loading space in an NAO-certified car wash.
- We document all cleaning in our transport management.
- This information is immediately accessible to supply chain partners.
We think proactively and make a positive contribution to developments in the chain. That's why we're part of the Hygiene Protocol Seed Potatoes Contact Committee (PCC) working group.
