AB Texel Group will acquire Driessen Speciaaltransport as of 1 October 2021. As a result, the group to which COMBEX Construction Logistics also belongs will strengthen its position in the construction logistics sector. COMBEX Bouwlogistiek and Driessen Speciaaltransport will join forces so they can continue to provide the best possible service to meet growing demand from the market. The acquisition will create a strong player in the transport of (prefab) concrete and building materials and exceptional transport operations, with some 200 trailer units, over 400 trailers, 270 employees and 65 permanent charters.
AB Texel Group is taking two new truck-mounted forklifts into use. The company is further expanding its fleet of curtainsiders with truck-mounted forklifts, so that customers with general cargo or bagged goods can be offered an even better service more tailored to their needs.
AB Texel Group is to provide feed transport for AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG for two production locations in Germany. On 1 March the two parties entered into a multi-year collaboration. As part of the collaboration, AB Texel Group has acquired the transport from RWZ Rhein-Main eG.
The collaboration and acquisition are in line with AB Texel Group's strategy to grow in the Feed market and to enter into sustainable partnerships.
AB Texel Group and Volvo Trucks Nederland have recently signed an agreement for the delivery of 50 Volvo trucks. The trucks will mainly be used for the specialist transport of products such as potatoes, animal feed and liquid dairy. AB Texel Group chose to sign the agreement chiefly due to the companies’ joint focus on customised solutions and reducing CO² emissions, along with the desire to strengthen each other as business partners.
